Nice to meet you. I’m Lucy, a creative content commissioner and journalist with over ten years experience in the media.
Some might say I peaked early in my career as the first female author of the FHM ‘bloke test’ but since then I’ve visited possibly every corner of the British media. I’ve reported from sex parties and Brexit rallies, deployed undercover journalists and marketed over the knee socks. I’ve launched countless lifestyle brands and turned traditional broadcast journalism on its head. Most recently I’ve been creating podcasts for the BBC including their flagship daily news programme, Beyond Today.
Over the years I have interacted with an enormous range of audiences, framing editorial narratives and tweaking commissioning criteria to serve them better. That’s how I know how that, in a crowded media landscape, ideas with purpose, vision and integrity matter more than ever. Using my vast experience, strategic editorial skills and agility, I want to tell stories that mean something to people. Or at the very least find out how much of a bloke they are.
